Within the Novartis Bio Medical Research (BR), global health (GH) situated in the San Francisco Bay Area is dedicated to finding new therapies to treat and prevent a range of noncommunicable and infectious conditions, with an emphasis on global health diseases. Comparative Medicine (CM) provides high quality husbandry and in vivo research work and support to enable drug discovery research and development. We are looking for a Research Scientist in CM to provide husbandry and vivarium Operations support, and to help run in vivo research studies and projects to support the diverse and exciting project portfolio at GH. The candidate should be action-oriented, Experienced with rodent husbandry and vivarium operations, skilled in in vivo procedures used to perform in vivo experiments with high technical and ethical standards and provide best in class animal care. The role will require an ability to work independently as well as in close collaboration with other CM colleagues, research scientists, the IACUC and animal welfare team. Your Key Responsibilities: • Provide best in class animal care for rodent species. • Conduct room inspections to backss the animals' health and cage environment as well as all related paperwork and record keeping. • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with scientists to provide optimal support. • Provide support of in vivo studies in line with project needs.
