Job Title: Program Manager Location: Nanaimo Position Type: Full Time Schedule: Monday to Friday (40 hours) - May include frontline support Wage: $30.47-$33.85 Job Summary Bonaventure Support Services is a dynamic and adaptable agency that supports adults, children and youth within the social service sector on Vancouver Island. We offer a broad range of services providing opportunities to those who live with diverse-abilities. Our focus is person centered with goal directed options, encouraging full participation in community. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily coordination of services by providing supervision, leadership, and direction to the assigned program and number of employees. This position is responsible for ensuring that the supported individuals' physical, emotional, social, recreational, economic, educational, and/or medical needs are met. Tasks to supervise may include but are not limited to; life skills development, meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care, budget management, behavioral support management and following/implementing personal care plans. As a manager, you are expected to actively support and implement the vision, mission, values, and program goals of the agency. Responsibilities Promote positive behavioral intervention strategies, following program approaches in a consistent, competent manner, that will protect themselves and the supported individuals. Follow the Leadership Handbook, Action Plan and Monthly Competency, focusing on health and safety and quality improvement, specifically in relation to CARF Accreditation. Develop and maintain a cohesive team spirit and pleasant work environment, promoting an effective and supportive working relationship with a team of diverse backgrounds. Represent Bonaventure Support Services in a professional manner within community, while on various committees with outside agencies, funders, and guardians. Follow the Risk backssments and apply.
