Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Health Records Processing/Transcription, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of the St. Boniface General Hospital, the CLERK TYPIST V is responsible for: providing Health Records functions during off hours including: processing of emergency requests and records; retrieving records for a variety of requesters, photocopying Medicolegal; performing receptionist duties; and performing other related duties as assigned. Experience Six (6) months experience in the Health Records Department of a hospital or one(1) year related clerical experience. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade XII or recognized equivalent. Qualifications and Skills Keyboarding speed: 45 wpm. Ability to work in a Windows operating environment. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good interpersonal communication skills. Legible handwriting. Good telephone manner. Neat and tidy appearance.
