The Senior Accounting Officer is responsible for providing accurate and timely information to our internal business lines at Scotia Wealth International Investment Advisory Scotia Mc Leod, Scotia Trust, Scotia i Trade, as well as deal with external financial institutions worldwide. The Senior Accounting Officer is accountable for knowledge of the process and procedures relating to International Transfers. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships with our internal and external clients while prioritizing work initiatives. The incumbent will be expected to know, understand, and meet the defined service level agreements for domestic ATON and NON-ATON transfer requests for our International Investment Advisory, as well as international transfers for Scotia Capital Inc. They will also be expected to know, understand, and meet the defined SLAs for transfer in and out requests. This individual will work as part of team to ensure the general email and phone line inquiries are answered on a timely basis and ensure timely updating of international databases. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: Ensure the delivery of client service to our internal business lines for transfers involving multiple lines of business and bank products and financial institutions worldwide Review transfer documentation and approve or reject, with a clear description and explanation Process domestic transfers for IIA and International transfers for all lines of business, based on department standard timelines Answer incoming branch telephone calls keeping “hold time” to a minimum Communicate rejects to Branch via email in a clear, courteous, and detailed manner Provide prompt and accurate information / direction on transfers of products on foreign markets or from/to international firms, meeting or exceeding the department.
