The Finance Department at Tangerine is primarily responsible for the capture and reporting of financial information for internal and external audiences in accordance with applicable standards. In addition, the Finance Department performs other important functions. The Accounts Payable team ensures that all outstanding obligations are discharged on a timely basis. The Management Accounting Team provides reporting and analysis to support senior management decision making and prepares forecasts each month as to the Bank's expected earnings. Furthermore, the Management Accounting Team works with the Strategy department and the business to prepare the annual Plan. The Finance Department continually backsses risks and controls and takes action to ensure there is an effective system of internal control over financial reporting and other Finance functions. Finance also supports the business to ensure the successful implementation of corporate initiatives. As part of the broader Management Accounting team, the Financial Analyst plays a critical role within the IT Finance team. One of the key responsibilities of the role is to ensure accurate and timely information are being captured within the financial systems to enable effective management reporting and decision making. This requires understanding and processing several invoices and ensuring they are booked to the correct account or project.
