Machinist Shift: 7am to 3:30pm shift Opportunity for OT as well Terms: Pay: $26.00/HR to $32.00/HR Main Things: Must be onsite clearly, Must have strong Machinist experience with specifically working on Turbine equipment, So search terms should be Turbine Machining. 4 to 10 years experience preferred. Must be able to pass a Background check and drug screen Job description: Set up, and operate shop machine tools, such as Lathes, Milling, Boring, Grinding. Set up, and operate manual type shop machine tools, such as Lathes, Milling, Boring, Grinding. Set up, and operate portable machine tools, such as Lathes, Milling, Boring, Grinding. Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to part and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow. Operate machine and monitor displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions. Understand required machining sequence and use precision measuring tools to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications. Perform dimensional inspection of various products. Clean machine, tooling, and parts and perform equipment PM as assigned. Heavy overnight travel (at least 70%) by land, and /or air. Be able to gain access to Nuclear Plants. Perform other such duties as may be required. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Contribute to building a positive team spirit. Maintain in good status a valid driver’s license and passport. Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels. Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties. Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform necessary calculations to satisfy job requirements. Reasoning Ability: Ability to make judgment decisions based on material specifications or technical requirements.
