CNC Machinist Nelson Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:30 Fri 07:30-12:30CNC Machinist The Role My client is a leading manufacturer in their field, supplying machinery to some of the biggest brands across the globe. They are looking to bring in a CNC Machinist, with knowledge of Turning and Milling to expand their team. CNC Machinist Main Responsibilities Set and operate CNC Turning machines. Set and operate CNC Milling machines. Set and operate conventional machines. Quality check machined parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings. Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Observe and practice 5S principles. CNC Machinist The Candidate Ideally be time served in a relevant engineering discipline. Must have previous CNC Turning & Milling experience. Previous experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol & Heidenhain would be adventitious. Be proficient at set up, operation and adjustment of tool and fixture offsets on CNC machine tools as well as conventional turning & milling machines would be preferred.
