Job Title: Medical Biller Location: Costa Mesa, CA Pay: $22 – 26/hr Job Type: Full-time (Tuesday through Saturday, 9-6pm) Job Description: Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies Ensure each patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date Prepare bills and invoices and document amounts due to medical procedures and services Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as they are needed for patient referrals Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments and procedures Coordinate and schedule procedures and follow-up appointments as designated by physician according to established policies and procedures with a high level of attention to detail. Investigating and appealing denied claims. Monitoring and recording late payments. Following up on missed payments and resolving financial discrepancies. Job Requirements: Must have experience working with out-of-network insurance. Knowledgeable of different insurance plans (HMO/PPO) A minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical biller or similar role. Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records. Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
