They have an unrivalled spending ability and a diverse group of members, made up of on-trade, foodservice, retail, and specialist wholesalers, making them genuine industry experts. They are looking to appoint a Trading Controller to join their team, to help deliver the Impulse commercial strategy. The successful Trading Controller will be responsible for sourcing, ranging, negotiating and managing their trade terms across the Impulse channel. It is imperative that the candidate is able to build successful commercial relationships with key stakeholders in the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading business who can offer genuine opportunities for progression and involvement in key business decisions to develop your skills and grow. Responsibilities include: Build and develop relationships with company members, with regular visits to understand their business and requirements for range, promotions and investment from suppliers. Negotiate all trading terms. Negotiate and deliver a promotion programme relevant to assigned role to drive sales and maintain a competitive edge within the sector. Negotiate supplier participation in events such as Trade Shows, Conferences, and other key events. To negotiate and propose key trading initiatives/events/seasonal activity and develop specific category initiatives to drive sales and profit for company members. The Ideal Trading Controller Candidate: Have a proven track record working as a Buyer or Trader within Wholesale, Foodservice, Convenience or FMCG markets. A Solid understanding of C&C Wholesale, Delivered Wholesale and Convenience Retail channels is essential. Have strong multi-category knowledge with thorough understanding of the Wholesale sector.
