Position Overview: As a Staff Accountant you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team in various accounting functions. This role requires a diligent and analytical professional who can contribute to the accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions within a dynamic private equity environment. Responsibilities: General Accounting: Assist in the day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Portfolio Company Accounting: Support the accounting processes for portfolio companies, including financial statement analysis and reporting. Collaborate with finance teams at portfolio companies to gather relevant financial data. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Assist in the preparation of financial models and forecasts. Audit Support: Work closely with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes. Provide documentation and explanations for audit inquiries. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies. Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices. Cash Management: Assist in the management of cash transactions, including reconciliations and forecasting. Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimal financial performance. Reporting: Generate and distribute regular financial reports to internal stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of investor reports. Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to special projects as assigned by the finance leadership team. Provide support for process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
