Job Title: M and E Quantity Surveyor : Civil Engineering Location: London Position Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in their multi: million: pound rail network framework projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining compliance with NEC contracts. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in quantity surveying within the rail sector to contribute to high: profile projects. This is a freelance, ongoing role were you will be working outside of IR35. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the financial aspects of rail infrastructure projects within the multi: million: pound network framework. Subcontractor management. Prepare, review, and monitor budgets, ensuring cost control and accuracy. Collaborate with project teams to provide timely and accurate cost advice. Administer NEC contracts and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles. Prepare and negotiate contractual agreements, variations, and final accounts. Conduct risk backssments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project cost: effectiveness. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Proven experience as an M and E Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering projects, specifically within the rail sector. Extensive experience of subcontracter management. Thorough understanding and practical application of NEC contracts. Proficient in cost estimation, budget management, and financial reporting.
