The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient-centered 100% (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our Muscatine Family Medicine Clinic. University of Iowa Health Care's primary care clinic in Muscatine provides a convenient location for family-oriented care. Appointments are available to people of all ages and include services for routine examinations, immunizations, follow-up care, and diagnosing routine medical problems, as well as pregnancy care. The on-site pharmacy provides you with a one-stop visit.Our team develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. When anyone in the family needs specialty care, our family medicine provider connects you with the UI Health Care specialist you need. That specialist will consult the same medical record your family medicine provider has been keeping for you, so your specialty care is streamlined.Our LPN's accompany the physicians or medical providers into the examination rooms in order to transcribe the clinician's and care team's encounter with the patients in real time. They accurately and thoroughly document the encounter with our patients as it is being performed by the providers, which may include documentation in the following sections: problem list, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan, procedures and treatments performed by team, patient education, orders, medications, referrals, explanations of risks and benefits, and instructions for self-care and follow-up.This position comes with the University of Iowa's generous, full benefit package including double-match retirement, paid vacation, and sick leave, and much more!
