We're looking for candidates who can drive supplier performance and ensure seamless operations. Education/Experience: A-level passes in relevant subjects English, Maths, Business, etc. CIPS qualification or working towards it is desirable Previous experience in a similar buying role within engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments Ability to read complex engineering drawings and specifications is advantageous Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems, with SAP experience preferred Proven track record of improving supplier performance and negotiating effectively Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize workload Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills Proficient in IT skills, including MS Office tools A Full UK Driving License is advantageous Key Responsibilities: Drive high levels of supply chain performance, focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness Support spares and service teams to meet urgent requirements and exceed customer expectations Optimize inventory levels while maximizing material availability through effective management of demand signals and supplier relationships Manage key suppliers across the business to achieve cost-effective solutions and improve on-time delivery and material availability If you're ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a real impact in the supply chain domain, we want to hear from you.
