Job Description WLUK has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Video Editor. This is the perfect entry level position for a career in visual journalism. You will work with a team of journalists. Your role focuses on editing video news elements for our digital and broadcast platforms. The position includes weekend evenings. This position is a stepping stone in our organization, with opportunities for advancement. The job is tailored to current students studying for a career in journalism, and/or digital media.Job responsibilities include: * Editing video for weekend news coverage * Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations * Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts * Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment Requirements and Qualifications: * Previous training in non-linear editing and digital media is preferred * Knowledge of Avid NewsCutter XP editing technology is a definite plus * Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace!About Us Make your mark in Media with Sinclair, Inc., a diversified media company dedicated to connecting people with content everywhere!
