Responsible for providing I&E Engineering design and installation support for a portfolio of small capital projects and providing support to existing base operations. Will be working with the Facility Engineering design teams to deliver seamless small project construction work packages. Responsible for instrumentation, electrical and control system design, while assisting in installation, commissioning and start up phases of project(s). Participates and contributes to the appropriate safety reviews (HaxOps, HazAn, etc). Must have working knowledge on electrical systems, SCADA, instrumentation, control and communication systems, and installation practices. Requires a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Job Duties: Instrument, Valves and Control Systems: * Review and update field instrumentation and electrical designs. Document, and implement PLC/SCADA based Process Control Systems (PCS) for multiple projects from the development of the network architecture, system logic diagram and HMI design through system testing, (i.e., FAT and SAT), startup, and commissioning * Define PCS data communication requirements to enable connectivity to end devices and other systems * Configure the PCS per design documents, including P&IDs, system logic diagrams, control narratives, Cause & Effect diagrams, and alarm philosophy * Apply Company and industry standards by recommending practices related to instrumentation and process control systems design * Participate or assist with Instrumented Protective Functions OIPF) design, documentation and implementation from involvement in the HAZOP study and the LOPA through implementation, startup, and commissioning Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Certification in Autodesk AutoCAD required * 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience specific to Instrumentation & Electrical drawings and P&ID knowledge. Previous Project Management and/or Commissioning and start up experience highly desired. This position will have Senior Leadership guidance/mentorship opportunity and will require residing in Midland, TX. Must be willing to relocate self to Midland/Odessa, TX. * Position will be based in Midland, TX; Must be willing to travel >25% Field time. Will be covering a large geographical area * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Must exhibit strong initiative and follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures * Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record * Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty requirements Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, PE * 1-3 yrs Electrical Engineering Oil & Gas, Power experience * 1-3 yrs Working knowledge of electrical systems, SCADA, instrumentation, control and communication systems * 2-4 yrs AutoCAD Design, specific to Process Control Systems for small capital budget oil & gas projects, includes P&ID's, system logic diagrams, control narratives, cause & effect diagrams, alarm philosophy. * 2-4 yrs Previous start-up and commissioning oil & gas production projects * Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards About Us The Danos Difference Team up with Danos, and be a part of one of the safest and best-performing companies in the business.
