Paid Internship Do you have a passion for travel, lifestyle brands and business-related news? Are you looking for first-hand experience of working in PR? We have an exciting internship vacancy available for an enthusiastic graduate to join our team at GEC PR in March 2024. We’re GEC PR, a well-respected travel, lifestyle and B2B PR agency. We work with progressive start-ups as well as established brands, hotels and destinations, and we’re looking for an intern for a placement with us who can work from our office in West London’s Chiswick. Like the rest of our team, our intern must have a passion for travel, meeting people and the finer things life has to offer. The role’s duties will include tasks such as: • Searching and saving client coverage published in media outlets • Updating contact databases • Assisting the team in collating PR reports • Compiling weekly and monthly market intelligence research and keeping an eye on trends and current affairs • Writing copy and content for newsletters and press releases • Distributing newsletters and press releases to media • Writing copy and creating visuals to share on social media • Talking to content creators and journalists to pitch news and client stories • Ad hoc office duties and tasks such as managing the office stationery supplies • Meeting and event attendance including virtual and physical events The role will provide the successful candidate with an excellent introduction to the world of travel, lifestyle and B2B PR and valuable experience for a future PR role. Requirements & Qualifications • Must be presentable and have superb oral and written communication skills • Must be competent with Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel and Power Point • The candidate must have a willingness to learn and ability to work well in a team • Good command of written English and English grammar • Passionate about social media as a powerful form of communication • Must be comfortable speaking on.
