POSITION SUMMARY: Would you like to lead a product team that develops modern software for the commercial healthcare market? Project Coordinators lead a team under a Product Line Manager to create and manage a software solution for our customers. We are seeking self-motivated individuals with leadership qualities to use agile methods such as Kanban or Scrum to manage and monitor work being done by development teams. Manage your teams work with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, etc. Project Coordinator l: Responsible for supporting the integrated commercial enterprise solution for DSS. Provides guidance with the development of the DSS enterprise solution, acts as a subject matter and content expert supporting the development efforts. Identifies workflow and process gaps in order to make enhancement recommendations and implement change processes. Is self-directing, with the ability to identify priorities and mobilize projects in an orderly fashion to achieve desired results and effectively use collaboration in driving decisions. Has the ability to understand technical issues at a high level and be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems. Works with Scrum team and Product Owner (Product Line Manager) to create a great collaborative environment. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties: Runs sprint planning, release planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups and sprint reviews for Scrum or Kanban teams. Helps the team find the appropriate level of sprint or work cycle commitment. Coaches team on Agile practices and encourages adoption by providing the team an environment that fosters Agile methodologies via retrospectives, scrums, sprint planning, etc. Ensures teams are properly estimating and executing work following DSS SDLC process. Works with team to ensure requirements are detailed and to properly define and estimate stories. Helps to identify and mitigate risks. Encourages transparency by using tools like Jira and Confluence (Atlassian Suite) Makes information available and transparent to stakeholders. Continuously improves processes to improve execution. Empowers the team to self-organize. Travel 25 - 50% of the year in support of assigned products/projects and/or as required by Management. Other Duties: Assists as needed with backlog maintenance. Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and broadcasting information as appropriate. Assists with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs. Understands the products and clients to the extent that he/she can perform as an effective backup to the Product Line Manager/Product Owner when necessary. Participates proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices. Identifies and remove impediments, prevent distractions. Act as the main point of communication for all individuals regarding your project. SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training. The preceding functions are examples of the work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Skills: Required: 3+ years of relevant experience preferably in the healthcare industry. Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures. Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other non-technical departments. Excellent communication and facilitation skills; both verbal and written. Has the ability to support the understanding of fundamentals of iterative development, agile software development processes and procedures. Understands Scrum/Kanban and other related methodologies that can be leveraged to provide value to a team/enterprise. Understands the importance of commitments by a development team and demonstrated ability to ensure that the team delivers consistently. Demonstrates the ability to facilitate and run great, effective meetings. Desired: Strong Project Management background Clinical Knowledge preferably in the software development industry Experience with Atlassian Suite and products for Application Lifecycle Management. Is knowledgeable of and able to use all MS Office Suite products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc. Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study A combination of applicable experience and education considered in lieu of formal degree. Desired: Advanced degree or training in any related field of study. Clinical degree or other clinical certification Certification(s), Licenses: Desired: Scrum Master Certification [CSM] Team Kanban Practitioner [TKP] Project Management Professional [PMP] (Must be willing and able to attain certifications if not currently achieved) Years of experience in a similar role: Required: 3+ years Desired: 5+ years DSS, Inc.
