The Role of the RLE USA Director of Business Development RLE USA is currently looking for a Director of Business Development to accelerate its vehicle development, electrical and electronic system growth. The role is to improve our organization's market position and achieve financial growth. This role will define long-term organizational strategic goals, building existing key customer relationships, along with identifying new business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of current automotive market conditions.The Director of Business Development will be expected to liaise with senior level staff on a weekly basis to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for RLE International. To achieve this, you will need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future.As the Director of Business Development, you will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive with both Engineering and Design Project Support with RLE.You will be expected to develop a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. You will also be required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.As our Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for Strategic planning, since it is the business manager's responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the automotive market along with the solutions & services that RLE International can provide. New Business Development Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Research and build relationships with new clients. Set up meetings between client decision makers and RLE's Senior Project Managers. Plan approaches and pitches. Expand RLE USA horizons from automotive including both the aerospace and rail marketplaces. Ensure RLE USA keeps a strong, regular presence on social media channels. Work with the team to develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives. Participate in pricing the solution/service. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately. Present an image that mirrors that of the client. Education Preferred BS Degree qualified - Engineering or Automotive Disciplines with a good underpinning of vehicle development & electrical understanding, Business Management Experience you'll need 3-5 years of sales or Business Development experience within Engineering Services and/or Electrical Engineering or Automotive Industry. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a director of business development.
