SHIPPING COORDINATOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule and negotiate rates for equipment transportation that may exceed parcel carrier size/weight regulations. Coordinate outbound activities vendor shipments. Coordinate labor and material resources for crating and skid production. Off-loading and unpacking, inspecting for damage, staging and delivery. Coordinate and request additional labor resources of the Production Manager and/or Department Manager as assistance is needed during times of high shipping labor activity demands. Prepare paperwork for over the road travel, air freight and/or ocean travel including packing lists, bill of ladings, and export documents such as commercial invoices, export declarations and certificate of origins, and encompassing any special marking, tagging, labeling. Oversee and maintain copies of the paperwork files for all upcoming, pending and completed projects shipped and assures that the correct paperwork packages are forwarded to the appropriate personnel for filing and legal files. Oversee, maintain, and continuously expand on the standard crating procedures used for the shipment of our equipment and documents all standards. Oversee and maintain in an orderly fashion, all shipping supplies such as lumber, banding, fasteners, and tool supplies to produce crates, skids, boxes and/or bracing and is responsible for requisitioning replenishment supply as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Four or more years of logistics and transportation experience. A bachelor's degree in supply chain or logistics can be substituted for 2 years of experience. Experience with SAP or other MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software systems. Microsoft Office, particularly OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, and Excel. Prior supervisory experience coordinating employees' daily activities.
