Nordson MEDICAL works with doctors, start-ups and large medical companies around the world at any point in the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond. * Pay Range: $33-45/hour * Medical w/ Rx, Dental, Vision, HSA w/ Employer Contribution * Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare & Dependent Care) * Company Paid STD/LTD, Life Insurance for Employees * Generous Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays * 401(k) w/ Company Match and Additional Annual Bonus Program * Tuition Reimbursement * Annual Merit Increases and Annual Total Rewards Bonus ProgramJob SummaryThe Machine Shop Technician utilize drawing specifications and work instructions to manufacture & inspect metal molds, fixtures, and tooling used in medical device manufacturing.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities * Follow drawings & specifications to manufacture metal molds, tooling and fixtures. * Inspect manufactured parts to meet required quality and other standards. * Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). * Perform daily tasks as directed by supervisor. * Conduct Repairs as required, including mold polishing, mold ID engraving, mold welding and assembly. * Maintain a safe and clean working environment. * Support equipment assembly, production and maintenance, as required.Education and Experience Requirements * High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Technical Degree, preferred. * Machinist/Machine Shop experience.Skills and Abilities * Ability to wear required Safety shoes and work in a machine shop setting. * Ability to read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and diagrams. * Understanding of day-to-day machine shop operations and practices. * Basic knowledge in lathe, milling machines, and tools used in machine shop setting. * Ability to handle tools and measuring equipment. * Good close vision abilities for inspection. * Able to operate a forklift. * Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Ability to use Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).Working Conditions and Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
