Senior Program Manager - Secret Clearance! with Security Clearance

We are looking for a Program Manager to join our growing team as we expand our support to the Department of Homeland Security in the Washington DC metropolitan area*This job posting is for upcoming opportunities with AMERICAN SYSTEMS* As our Program Manager you will: --- Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on a range of analytical and program support needs--- Oversee contractor personnel program/project operations by developing operational procedures--- Receive a robust benefits package that includes our Employee Stock Ownership Plan! (ESOP)--- Enjoy flexibility managing your work hours and personal needs with a single accrual leave planA week in the life of a Program Manager: --- Interface with multiple DHS organizations and our contract support team in meeting the specific requirement so each organizationThis requires a PM with experience coordinating multiple organizations and efforts over a geographically dispersed team--- Plan and direct execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support efforts--- Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements--- Direct efforts of team(s) to include contractors at multiple locations--- Regularly brief senior leadership on program/project status and milestones--- Assist our customer in the development of management plans and strategies --- Milestone planning and tracking --- Evaluate program schedules, and deliverables --- Create and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule as well as develop technical program planning and control documents such as our monthly Management Report --- Assist in preparing and coordinating the agenda to meetings, prepare presentation materials, host and/or participate in actual meeting and drafting their subsequent minutes and action items Job Requirements --- At least eight (8) years of relevant professional engineering management experience to include at least six (6) years of professional experience managing programs valued at more than $40M, and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience--- Possess or have the ability to obtain a DHS clearance--- A degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related scientific or technical discipline--- PMP Certification --- Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives--- Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, technical solutioning, and financial managementFounded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United StatesWe are a government services contractor focused on delivering Strategic Solutions to complex national priority programs with 100+ locations worldwideThrough our focus on quality, strong cultural beliefs, and innovation we deliver excellence every dayCompany Awards: --- Forbes National Best Midsize Companies --- Energage National Best Workplaces, National --- Washington Post Best Workplaces Veteran Hiring Awards: --- U.SDepartment of Labor Hire Vets Medallion --- BEST FOR VETS by Military Times --- TOP 10 MILITARY FRIENDLY COMPANY by MilitaryFriendly.com EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation
