We are looking for: - School of Retail Management (SORM) training: comprehensive training program to be completed for prospective H-E-B Partners who are committed to a career as managers in H-E-B store operations- Experience with USDC-HAACP programs- Leadership experience What is the work? Management:- Spends the majority of time using independent judgement in making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters. - Develops / trains future leaders in the School of Retail Management (SORM) and School of Retail Leadership (SORL)- Trains Partners on proper packaging, displaying / merchandising processes according to department SOPs- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and communicating the Corporate Merchandising and Marketing plan to the Store plan- Prepares work schedules, orders product, controls inventory, monitors department budget and payroll- Regularly performs Department Partner dutiesSales / Analytics:- Achieves sales goals by preparing projections / forecasts, managing / reducing costs, and ensuring accuracy of invoices- Exhibits passion for product and customer service; drives customer engagement for department- Ensures in-stock conditions, wareroom / inventory controlFood Safety / Sanitation:- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B policy and standards for product food safety and sanitation- Maintains safety / sanitation standards of equipment, department, and throughout the work area What is your background? - Minimum age 18 (mandatory)- H-E-B School of Retail Management (to be completed upon hire)- Experience in ordering, inventory management, and shrink control- Experience managing USDC-HAACP programs- Food Safety certification Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Meat Market Manager? - Knowledge of department processes, SOPs, and equipment, including knives, saws, cutting techniques, packaging, merchandising, equipment breakdown / assembly- Advanced customer service skills- Interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills- Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel), and H-E-B systems- Ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff- Ability to communicate / distinguish cuts of meat and cooking techniques- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks Can you... - Function in a fast-paced, retail environment- Continuously stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and side to side throughout shift- Regularly work in a cooler environment, and occasionally in an extreme cold environment- Occasionally lift and carry 80-90 lbs - Safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts- Work extended hours and / or rotating schedulesSTROPS3232H-E-B needs energetic and motivated Partners willing to work hard and have fun while providing superior customer service.
