Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE) to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of Quality Control, Assurance, and reliability across their products and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), experience working in an ISO9001 environment (or similar quality system) and ASQ certification highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Process Improvement: Assess production process issues and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Provide training to colleagues on quality standards, processes and procedures. Utilize FMEA techniques to develop and improve processes. Acquire, validate, examine, and present essential measurement data for assessing adherence to specifications and validating process capability. Quality Programs: Create and enforce KPIs to identify areas of improvement. Supervise product testing to ensure procedural accuracy. Assist in the development and implementation of quality programs to meet production standards and exceed customer requirements. Perform internal quality audits to assess compliance within the QMS and help assist in external audits. Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements. Collaboration and Relationship Building: Build strong working relationships with customers and peers. Work with cross-functional teams on root cause investigations for both internal and external opportunities. System Compliance and Execution: Ensure complete execution of the Quality Management System (QMS). Collaborate with teams to develop and implement best practice standardization. Recommendations and Training: Recommend improvements to procedures and processes, contributing to the creation of quality practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure test methods are current and provide training to employees on proper testing procedures, root cause investigation tools, and processes. Supplier Collaboration and Customer Feedback: Support sites in working with suppliers for raw material and certification compliance. Analyze issues reported via customer feedback to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science discipline 2-5 years' experience in the Quality Engineering/Assurance field Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) (PREFERRED) Experience in ISO9001 environment preferred or knowledge of ISO9001. Similar quality system experience such as AS9100, ISO13485 or IATF16949. ASQ Certification (PREFERRED)
