Topics include genetic variation within and across human populations, biological variation related to the environment, determinants of health and disease, and human behaviour and development. Estimated course enrolment: 75 students Estimated TA Support : 120 hours (to be confirmed) Class schedule : Lectures on Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (online) Sessional dates of appointment : July 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024 Salary (0.25FCE): : Sessional Lecturer 1: $4,728.95. Sessional Lecturer 1(Long-Term): $4,965.40. Sessional Lecturer 2: $5,060.89. Sessional Lecturer 2 (Long-Term): $5,163.31. Sessional Lecturer 3: $5,181.38. Sessional Lecturer 3 (Long-Term): $ 5,285.01. All inclusive of vacation pay. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum qualifications : Candidates must have a completed Ph. D. (or equivalent) with recent scholarly contributions in Human Biology research and experience in undergraduate teaching. Description of duties : Co-preparing of course syllabus and course marking scheme; Co-teaching weekly lectures and tutorials; Co-marking assignments and exams; Providing office hours for academic counselling of students; Co-setting and marking assignments/exams; Co-administrating course in accordance with University regulations as described in the Faculty of Arts & Science Academic Handbook for Instructors; Co-supervising TAs.
