What Jim Ellis has to Offer You: Employee discounts on products, services, and vehicle purchases Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays Closed on Sundays Employee Referral Program of up to $500 per referral Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401k Provided lunch on Saturdays Career advancement opportunities and promotions from within Paid Training Long-term and Short-term Disability Employee Assistance Program $10,000 company-paid basic life insurance for full-time employees (additional coverage available) Continued Education opportunities with Dale Carnegie and DeVry University Your Responsibilities & Essential Job Duties: Hire, manage, and supervise the performance of the service department including advisors, technicians, BDC, cashiers, etc. Maintain a high Customer Service Index rating, reduce customer complaints, and increase customer retention Conduct service meetings and establish department goals and objectives to minimize unapplied time Manage shop production and schedule to meet pace and budget Create work schedule and maintain proper accounting of Service Technicians’ productivity Ensure that technicians keep their skills current through manufacturer training, ASE training and CDK Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all guests and employees and understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service and parts operations and OSHA compliance Ensure that proper service sales techniques are being used Review and understand manufacturer warranty and policy procedures Job Requirements & Qualifications: Previous Service Manager experience is preferred Knowledge of warranty procedures, work scheduling, etc. is a plus Excellent customer service, organizational, and negotiation skills Goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems Previous industry knowledge and overall knowledge of operations, management, and customer relationships Must have valid driver’s license Why Jim Ellis?
