One of the largest healthcare systems in Connecticut is adding an Infectious Disease physician to our western Connecticut location. About the Position 100% Infectious Disease with a mix of both inpatient and outpatient Inpatient consultations are at a 109-bed, general acute care community hospital that serves as a regional health care resource for 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. Outpatient consultation including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment Assist with activities of Infection Prevention and the Hospital Epidemiology programs Assist with activities of Antimicrobial Stewardship System-wide collaboration with over 20 ID physician colleagues that meet monthly Active Hospitalist program to care for inpatients Shared call with other ID physicians Employed position with a medical group of more than 600 Providers EPIC EMR High base salary with wRVU incentives About the Community Located 30 miles west of Hartford and 2 hours from New York City Small city with a population of 35,000 people This community is known for its scenic views of the Litchfield Hills and its picturesque downtown area. There are numerous attractions such as Warner Theater, an outdoor amphitheater, art galleries, and a variety of restaurants The city offers plenty of recreational activities including hiking trails, biking paths, fishing spots, and golf courses.
