The successful candidate will join a team of plastic and reconstructive surgeons with a major focus on oncological reconstructive surgery. The successful candidate must have completed specialised fellowship training in oncological reconstruction. Solid expertise in reconstructive microsurgery is required for this position. The effective date of this appointment is July 1, 2024, but can be flexible depending on the candidate. The candidate’s application should demonstrate excellence in research and teaching. Full-time commitment to academic activity is required. The successful candidate should have a strong research track record, preferably resulting in a M. Sc. or Ph D degree. The candidate will be expected to establish a research program in either clinical research, or basic science. The successful candidate will also participate in medical student, resident, and plastic surgery fellow education at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be seeking an academic role of Surgeon- Investigator, or Surgeon - Scientist. The candidate must be eligible for appointment at the University of Toronto at the academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The candidate must hold a MD and FRCSC (or equivalent specialist designation) qualification in Plastic Surgery and be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada,.
