This role involves working closely with inventors on newly created products, identifying patentable inventions, and drafting patent applications. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering or biotechnology, along with prior experience in patent law. Duties:Assist patent attorneys with the preparation and prosecution of patent applicationsWork hand-in-hand with inventors on newly created productsAssist in the identification of patentable inventionsResearch current patented technologies to best assist clients in patentable workDraft patent applications with the assistance of the patent teamTrack the patent application process from initial application to granted patent to ensure the team remains on trackComplete ability searches regularlySolve client challenges and respond to client needsRespond to office actions and correspond with the U.S. Patent and Trademark OfficeConsistently meet billable hour requirements Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in science or engineeringMaster’s Degree or PhD desired3+ years of professional experienceUSPTO Registration requiredMust have backgrounds in electrical engineering or biotechnology and prior experience working in the area of patent law.
