Our Structural Engineering Division is growing, and we have an opportunity available for a Bridge Engineer to join to our team. About Our Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Structural Engineering, the Bridge Engineer provides specialized structural and bridge engineering services respecting the design, tendering, construction, and inspection of bridges and other highway structures. Primary Accountabilities The primary accountabilities of the Bridge Engineer are: Provide technical expertise in the delivery of structural engineering services related to bridges, culverts, retaining walls, overhead sign structures, and other highway related structures. Act as a project manager for structure designs by procuring engineering consulting services, prepare terms of reference, coordinate proposal reviews, award contracts, supervise consultants work and approve payment. Coordinate and review bridge surveys, geotechnical investigations, bridge alignments, hydrology/hydraulics analysis reports, structure designs, archeology reports, environmental backssment reports, environmental permitting applications, and tender documents. Use sound engineering principles and structural/bridge engineering software to prepare structural/bridge designs and coordinate design drawings for bridges and other highway structures.
