As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the Debit Card, Credit Card and Commercial Card monetary/non-monetary transactions. This is inclusive of but not limited to: the investigation, resolution and disposition of exception transactions (out of balance conditions, un-postable and rejected items). In this role, you will: • Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience by providing the best-in-class customer service through the timely and accurate handling of all inquiries received via multiple channels (e. g. fax, incoming mail, email or other electronic methods) within established SLA • Acquire and maintain expert proficiency of OCS Settlement Accounting, Credit Cards and Debit Cards as well as the regulations, policies and procedures governing them • Ensure negative trending or risk related issues within the products serviced are identified and contributes recommendations to address root cause with a view to driving increased efficiency balanced with reduced operational risk within the team • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of monetary and non-monetary transactions, daily exception reporting through investigation, validation, and correction processing. Escalating unusual items in a timely manner based on exception type where required • Process queued cases within established Service Levels Agreements and ensuring accuracy of case comments/responses • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in exceptions, actively participates in consultations with partners for technology enhancements and takes initiative in identifying process enhancements that drive increased efficiencies within the unit. • Participate in meeting the Bank’s regulatory and financial reporting requirements • Ensure knowledge of day-to-day operations within the.
