Term of App't: Monday - Friday (15hrs/week) Start date: Immediately Location: Fort St. John or Dawson Creek, BC Reporting to: Associate Dean of Academic & Vocational Programs Salary: $34,170.50 - $ 38,768.00 annual starting wage, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement (annual increments up to a maximum salary of $ 49,984.00). Vacation entitlement annually is 120 hours (pro-rated from hire date for current year), to be utilized during the non-instructional period and paid time off between Christmas and New Year's. We offer an extremely competitive extended health and dental benefits plan. Part time faculty members may opt to contribute to the College Pension Plan, with contributions matched by the Employer. Description: NLC's Early Childhood Education and Care Diploma students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to work with young children and their families in diverse early learning settings in British Columbia. Students develop skills through courses designed to integrate academic and practical experiences. http: //www. nlc. bc. ca/Programs/All-Programs-Alphabetical/Early-Childhood-Education-and-Care-Diploma The successful candidate will report to work on either the Dawson Creek or Fort St John campus, with delivery of instructional assignments by in classroom, video-conference, online, teleconference, and may include evening or weekend delivery. Travel between campuses may be required. Community liaison is an integral aspect of the role. Qualifications: Required: Master's Degree in Early Care and Learning, or in a closely related field (A Bachelor's Degree in a related field with extensive work experience in a related field will be considered). Instructional experience in a comparable or related post-secondary program 3 years' experience working in a licensed Early Care and Learning Centre Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) Diploma (or equivalent) with Infant/Toddler and Special Needs.
