This healthcare organization provides comprehensive primary care, selected specialties and referral services for the Chattahoochee valley regardless of circumstances. They are growing rapidly and are currently in search of providers to help our growing families! We are looking for an experienced provider who is passionate about caring for patients and treating their medical needs. You will perform exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat patients throughout their lifetime. Education: Possess a degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy. Complete an accredited program of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Pass a national exam. Must be licensed to practice in Georgia. Must successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check. Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. Location: Columbus, GA Benefits: We pay 100% of our employees' benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision coverage. This is worth $14,000 a year, which includes $3,000 towards your deductible that you receive on a Health Spending Visa for any co-pays, prescriptions and medical expenses that may occur. Relocation assistance is offered. Summary : Obstetricians and Gynecologists are specialized doctors who diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases of women, especially those affecting the reproductive system and the process of childbirth. They are responsible for general medical care for women, but also provide care related to pregnancy and the reproductive system. Like general practitioners, OB - GYNs are concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of general health problems, but they focus on ailments specific to the female anatomy, such as breast and cervical cancer, urinary tract and pelvic disorders, and hormonal disorders. Obstetricians and Gynecologists also specialize in childbirth, treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses to delivery and postpartum care. Obstetricians and Gynecologists track the health of, and treat, both mother and fetus as the pregnancy progresses. Duties and Responsibilities: · Review patient's medical history · Update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments · Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results. · Obstetricians and Gynecologists care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods. · Obstetricians and Gynecologists prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. · Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient. · Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients. · Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary. · Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. · Obstetricians and Gynecologists refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. · Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff. · Obstetricians and Gynecologists consult with or provide consulting services to other physicians. · Recommend and design a plan of treatment · Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being Evaluation : The evaluation of work performance, including specific duties, responsibilities, demeanor, and work ethic, will be ongoing and implemented by the Chief Medical Officer per center policies. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Possess a degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy. Complete an accredited program of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Pass a national exam. Must be licensed to practice in Georgia. Must successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check. Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures and all Federal, State and Local medical service requirements, to include HIPAA Privacy & Security. Confidentiality (HIPAA): Every employee is required to sign a Pledge of Confidentiality. Failure to comply with our Pledge of Confidentiality can or will lead to immediate termination of employment. Confidentiality applies to a patient’s Personal Health Information (PHI) and includes: written, oral and electronic communications. Each employee has an obligation to maintain confidentiality after their employment/association with this facility ends. Security (HIPAA): Every employee is required to protect their computer log-on and password. You must secure your work area prior to leaving it unattended for an extended period of time. You are required to log-off of your computer and secure your work area prior to leaving at the end of the day. If you have a responsibility for closing or locking files, securing equipment, or locking the building and you do not comply with these requirements, you will be subject to reprimand and/or termination based upon the infraction. We are required by law to protect patient privacy, identifiable patient information, and all properties containing such information. Physical Requirements: · Ability to stand for an extended period of time · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
