Rochester Midland Corporation is looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Accounting Support Specialist for its Rochester NY office. This role is responsible for understanding the manufacturing operation and basic knowledge of accounting practices. This position will take direction with general supervision from the VP of operations and requires interaction with all levels of the organization. It is located onsite. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Reviews cost and variance trends; researching significant variations and recommending appropriate response. Prepares daily operating performance analysis; including inventory movements, sales, and cost of goods sold, to identify significant issues in a timely fashion Performs monthly cost rolls and inventory revaluation. Works with purchasing to enhance accuracy of cost components. Performs cost rolls for new product setup. Maintains proposed costing system. Monitor WIP and verify batches in WIP report are correct at month end Assists other employees with information and/or analysis when requested. Monitors ERP/Manufacturing/Inventory systems for any issues that impact transactions. Research supplier credits for correct inventory transactions and account code processing. Use data reports to recommend Journal Entries Assists with Production and Distribution Metric reporting Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION : Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field preferred EXPERIENCE: 2+ years supporting a manufacturing business Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Exce Experience using ERP and Manufacturing Software SALARY RANGE: $55,000 - $70,000 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
