Our well-established team is looking for a motivated and experienced title agent to join us in achieving our goal of providing consistently excellent closing services to our clients. We are looking for someone who is research-driven, loves efficiency, and has a keen eye for detail. If this sounds like you, apply now! Responsibilities: • Review all closing documents to be sure title commitments have been met, issue title policy, and prepare closing statements to transfer the title to the new owner• Work alongside a variety of industry professionals such as real estate agents, title insurance agents, escrow officers, closing agents, settlement agents, law firms, paralegals, and escrow companies throughout the closing process• Examine maps, liens, judgments, leases, agreements, public records, contracts, surveys, and plat books to verify legal description, ownership, and restrictions• Conduct property search to check for real estate title defects or issues, such as claims, liens, mortgages, deeds, wills, or fraud• Facilitate title search and prepare title abstract and title opinion• Conduct a search of real estate records• Travel to and from county offices to pick up and deliver documents Qualifications: • Microsoft Office Suite proficient• State license requirements must be met for this position --title producers license is a bonus• A high school diploma is a requirement, but a college degree is preferred• The ideal candidate will be process-driven, highly analytical and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills• Title industry experience is not required, however, additional opportunities exist for candidates with experience in title and/or escrow, mortgage processing, or legal research• A Kansas title producer license is not required, but the opportunity will be given to obtain licensing• Prefer process-driven, analytical, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills Compensation: $30,000 - $40,000 yearly About Company: Tallgrass Title is a full-service title insurance and escrow company that serves Pottawatomie, Riley, and Wabaunsee Counties.
