Description:
East Side Surgery Center is looking for a Director of Nursing to join our team. The Director of Nursing in conjunction with the Clinical Director, is responsible for the delivery of nursing services to the patients of the Center. He/she develops and maintains nursing service goals and objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures and job descriptions for each level of clinical personnel. Collaborates with Center staff, administration and physicians to provide safe and high quality nursing care. Coordinates nursing services with other patient services (internal to the Center as well as contracted by the Center) to meet patient needs. Responsible for providing leadership, clinical expertise, and functional direction to other members of the health care team in the pre and post-operative areas and operating room to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Requirements: 1. Holds current PA Licensure as a Registered Nurse; demonstrates current competency in those clinical responsibilities listed previously. 2. Registered Nurse with 2 years operating room or peri-anesthesia experience required. 3. ACLS certification recommended.4. Requires standing, walking, lifting and sitting for prolonged periods of time. 5. Periodic exposure to possible injury when lifting which requires proper body mechanics and adherence to safety procedures.
