Geotechnical Engineer Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Reference: BY1269 Salary: GBP28,000 : GBP32,000. A geo: environmental and geotechnical consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne are seeking a geotechnical or geo: environmental engineer to join the team. Specialising in Phase I Desktop Studies and Phase II Site Investigation and Risk backssments, and with a niche team size to allow for progression and varied work, this consultancy can offer excellent opportunity for your career progression. The Geotechnical Engineer selected will be offered: A competitive salary (GBP28,000 : GBP32,000). Company pension and benefits scheme. Continued professional development. Training provided where required. Niche team with room for career progression. This Geotechnical Engineer position will involve approximately 50 site work to 50 office work. Youll be borehole logging, trial pitting, supervising ground investigations, carrying out risk backssments and Phase I desk studies, writing reports and carrying out in: situ testing. A contribution to the training of junior members and/or developing your own skills too. The Geotechnical Engineer selected will: Have a degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology or a related subject. Have experience as a geotechnical or geo: environmental engineer or consultant. Have exceptional communication and time management skills. Hold a valid UK Driving licence. Be commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne. Willing to travel to sites and work in office.
