Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor required to work with the team on a major new build and refurbishment healthcare project in Eastbourne. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead a commercial team on a GBP25M new hospital project. The scheme involves demolition of temporary structures, a new build facility with various wards, theatres and outpatient facilities, and the building will be connected to the existing hospital, which will involve some remodelling and refurbishment. This is a secured project currently in early preconstruction phase with main works due to start at the end of the year for circa 18months. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for management of commercial aspects including: liaison with supply chain to develop scope of works and cost plan, liaison with clients: team, and input to preconstruction phase through to agreement of target cost. Thereafter you will be responsible for sub: contract procurement, management of sub: contractor accounts, undertaking measurement and valuations for payments, pricing and agreeing variations, applications to client for interim payments, financial forecasting and CVRs settlement of subcontractor final accounts, agreement of client final account. The form of contract is NEC3 Option C, so experience of this form of contract would be advantageous but not essential as there is significant experience within the wider team. In addition Healthcare project experience would be preferred. About the Company/Client/Project: This is an autonomous team for this major project and ongoing contracts of work, but part of a larger main contracting group, with a regional office in Surrey and a good pipeline of work in the area in the healthcare, education, student accommodation, mixed use residential sectors. The company is a Tier 1 contractor and this regional office has been established for many years. They have projects ranging in value from GBP25m to GBP100m; Workload.
