Job Duties: Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties. Prepare all necessary forecasts; to work closely with Front Office and Sales to maximize occupancy, rate and revenue. Group Management; securing method of payment, building rooming list, confirming meals, baggage, any special requests, monitoring cancelation and release dates. Cover breaks at the front desk - responsible for checking guests in and out of the Hotel, issue room keys, pamphlets, discount cards, etc. and answer various questions from guests and arrange transportation for guests. Review updated in-house, arrival, and room status reports - verify room types, upgrade VIPs, maximize revenue base rooms FIT allotment check and blackout dates Rate shops - focus on compression dates Sales group review and 10 day group forecast REQUIEREMENTS: High School Diploma, G. E. D. or equivalent Completion of a two-year apprenticeship program, or a college program in front desk operations or hotel management preferred A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Hotel Front Desk Clerk Preferred Strong working knowledge of accounting practices and principles Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required Superior written and oral communication skills.
