Nixon Painting and Coating LTD – Painters Nixon Painting and Coating LTD, located at 2123 Lark Cres Nanaimo, BC V9S 5J7 has an immediate opening for 4 painters to work on residential and commercial projects. Job Duties: • Reading blueprints/instructions and examining surfaces to determine the kind andamount of work necessary• Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, setting up a ladder, covering fixtures etc. • Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, removing old wallpaper, etc. • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e. g. plaster)• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools• Apply varnish and other finishes• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions• Perform other related duties, as needed Wages: $29.00/hr. for 40 hrs. /week Location of work: Various Locations within the lower mainland Language: Ability to communicate in English Job Requirements: • Completion of secondary education is required. • Minimum of 2-year work experience is required. • Ability to work long hours, early morning and weekends as required. • Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them• Solid knowledge of residential, commercial and/or construction paintingtechniques• Aptitude in using appropriate tools. • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. • Conscientious with great attention to detail Contact Information: Apply by email to xyz X@.
