VPG is looking for a summer marketing intern. This position is based in Harvey, LA. JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE As the marketing intern, the main duties include completing clerical and administrative duties, building social media campaigns, and preparing promotional materials and presentations. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Support marketing campaign planning and execution. Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral. Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels. Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions. Assist in the management of website SEO. Take part in formal and informal training opportunities. Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives. Qualifications: Knowledge of marketing strategies, including continuing education of new marketing tactics and tools Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to translate complex research into common language Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software Aptitude with various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Knowledge of data tracking tools Familiarity with branding and brand proposition Ability to quickly learn and process information Organization and time management skills Ability to travel up in Louisiana Pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or other related fields Proficient in the Adobe Suite, and/or other related design and editing software applications This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills; Must be proficient in MS Office tools - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Excellent organizational skills; Strong and positive team attitude and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize work and to handle multiple tasks; Ability to understand the scope and objective of each assignment.
