Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Manager Manufacturing Operations 3 . This position is located in Roy , UT and supports the Sentinel program . Northrop Grumman Strategic Systems Division supports the Air Force's sustainment, modification, development, production, and deployment of strategic systems. Division program portfolio includes the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground Sustainment Support Contract (GSSC), Advanced Programs (AP), Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Programs, and the Sentinel Program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do: The Manufacturing Operations Manager 3 is a senior level leader with accountability to the SDS Division VP of Production Operations . As the Manager of Manufacturing Operations, your team will oversee and manage the manufacturing and operational aspects of multiple manufacturing, production, integration and field facilities across the country. Your team will be responsible for the safety of the employees, delivering quality products on time and within customer cost targets while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing foundational processes, encompassing knowledge of shop floor processes and best practices (FOD control, ESD practices, 5S, Tool & Property control etc.), efficient material flow, product lifecycle management, cost center structuring, manufacturing execution systems (MES) knowledge, product configuration management, traceability and government approval procedures for sell-off. In addition, the candidate will provide the people, skills, processes & training for successful achievement of program and division goals in the manufacturing and production environment . They will manage and present status on cost, schedule, and performance for all projects within the area; assess issues and develop mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals. Essential functions include: Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with senior management, peers, and employees. Provides ownership for the people, processes, tools & training that support manufacturing operations and programs in achieving their missions. Accountability for recruiting, staffing, and retaining talent to deliver on our objectives . Owning and leading improvements across employee engagement, hiring, development, training, attraction, and retention of top talent. Providing leadership direction in areas such as: Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity Planning, Capital & Facility Planning, Cost/ Benefit Analysis, Manpower Planning, Staffing, and AS9100 and all auditable processes. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Job Qualifications: You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional experience. Master's Degree with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or 12+ years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 5 + years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing. 3 + years of experience managing or leading people or projects. 2 + years of experience managing technicians or technician managers. 2 + years of experience leading manufacturing, production, integration, field, or lab operations. Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security level clearance pre-start, with the ability to obtain a final Secret Security level clearance post-start. Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Experience leading manufacturing/production/integration & test teams in a production environment. A proven track record of developing and implementing strategies for change. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Manufacturing, Program, Engineering, Functional Support Management, and Professionals Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Prior experience operating in a dynamic environment of increasing production schedules and high delivery rates. Aerospace / ICBM Industry Experience. Knowledge and experience with Production Estimating functions. Experience working with Systems Applications and Products (SAP). Knowledge of Manufacturing Management Plan requirements and transitioning to production. Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnel. Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal. Ability to effectively work within a team environment. Active DoD Secret clearance and applicable SAP accesses. #GBSDLeadership Salary Range: $129,000 - $193,400The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
