(“Triton”) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Field Biologist, to join a well-established team of environmental professionals, based out of either, Calgary or Edmonton office location. The successful candidate will work as part of a field team, reporting to the project office. Transportation will be provided from Calgary or Edmonton to the work site. Responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, including: Bird identification Data collection Daily data entry and reporting Manual hazing of birds Deployment and maintenance of bird deterrent infrastructure backssment of deterrents and recommendations to prevent habituation Wildlife identification Bird sweeps, wildlife hazing, and other wildlife programs, as required SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will possess the following: Post-secondary education (degree or technical diploma) in biology, environmental science, or a related discipline Ability to work long days in the field and handle physically demanding work Demonstrated attention to detail required for data collection and entry Experience in bird identification considered an asset Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment essential Valid Class 5 driver’s license HOW TO APPLY If this opportunity sounds like you and you are serious about joining a progressive team of environmental consultants, please apply with a resume and cover letter.
