As a Senior Tax Associate, your responsibilities will include the following: - Preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, with a focus on OVDP and Streamlined compliance. - Reviewing client data and preparing journal entries. - Conducting reconciliations. - Developing strong working relationships with clients and personnel. The following are the education and competencies required for this position: - A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree preferred). - At least 3 years of public accounting experience is a must. - Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards. - Experience with journal entry preparation and understanding the difference between accrual and cash basis of accounting. - Ability to calculate GILTI. - Experience preparing various tax forms, including but not limited to 1040, 8858, 8865, 1120, 1065, 5471, 5472, FBAR, and other relevant forms. - Familiarity with CFC and Foreign Partnerships Categories classification and Check the Box Election. The following competencies are also desired: - Computer skills, including proficiency with Ultra Tax, Pro Systems, Quick Books, and Practice CS. - Advanced proficiency in Excel. Qualifications Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience in cross-border personal and corporate tax from a domestic accounting firm in the US or Canada.
