Examples of work performed are not to be used for allocation purposes.)· Collects body fluids for laboratory tests to provide information for diagnostic, treatment, and/or research decisions.· Performs serology, immunology, immunohematology, hematology, bacteriology, urinalyses, biochemical, drug susceptibility, and/or other tests.· Performs phlebotomies.· Prepares and inoculates culture mediums and identifies organisms.· Prepares reports of test results.· Prepares reagents and chemicals.· Performs preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment as required.· Performs quality control testing for all procedures as required.· Performs related work as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:(Note: The knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) identified in this class specification represent those needed to perform the duties of this class. Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities may be applicable for individual positions in the employing agency.)· Knowledge of the principles of biology, chemistry, and physics.· Knowledge of medical technology practices and procedures.· Knowledge of the types of laboratory tests.· Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing procedures.· Knowledge of chemicals and reagents.· Knowledge of the significance of laboratory tests.· Skill in operating laboratory and scientific equipment for conducting tests.· Ability to communicate effectively.· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS· For laboratories requiring licensure:· Licensed or temporarily licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the specialty area(s) (i.e., microbiology, serology, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, biophysics, cytotechnology, or histopathological technology) for which the laboratory is registered in accordance with Florida Statute 483Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $65.00 per hourBenefits: Health insurance Medical specialties: Hematology Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Chatahoochee, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Phlebotomy: 2 years (Required) Hematology & Chemistry: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Florida Licensed Medical Technologist (Required) Work Location: In personPowered by JazzHR
