PAYROLL MANAGER Los Angeles, CADUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligationsComplete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes and managerial reviewEnsure other Legal responsibilities and Legal Postings Requirements in the workplaceReconcile payroll prior transmission and validate confirmed reportsManage and maintain payroll records and filesManage the Payroll team but supervising, assigning, and delegating tasks to team membersManage full-cycle multi-state payroll for exempt, non-exempt employeesManage employee wage garnishment, tax levy and support ordersMaintains employee confidence & protects operations by keeping HR information confidentialCoordinate Termination of Employment Procedures and conduct exit interviewsParticipate in the employee performance review and facilitate employee disciplinary proceduresOther duties as assignedREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Associate s or bachelor s degree in Human Resources or related fieldsMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in PayrollKnowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in MS Windows with MS Office Application (Word, Excel, Outlook)ADPWFN and AsureSoftware Time Keeping System knowledge/experience preferredAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationAbility to work well with all levels of managementAbility to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgmentAbility to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlinesAbility to perform well in a fast-paced work environment
