Connect with NRG on Facebook, LinkedIn and follow us on Twitter Summary: : The HVAC Installer Helper provides assistance to install heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment, as well as other products in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications for our Residential New Construction or Retail Teams. Essential Duties/Responsibilities*: : Works under supervision to install heating, air conditioning, ventilation equipment, as well as other products in accordance with company requirements and manufacture specifications.: May test systems to ensure proper functioning.: Identifies issues and follows:up with required repair to ensure all relevant components are working correctly to ensure compliance.: Completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough and timely manner.: May performs start:up on air conditioning systems as needed.: Fabricates and installs various ducts and duct fittings as required.: Follows safety policies and procedures.: Other duties as assigned. * Duties may vary by location. Minimum Requirements: : High school diploma or GED. Experience may be substituted for education. : Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.:Good verbal and written communication skills : Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing:Beginner computing skills and able to use a computer, laptop or tablet:Valid drivers license required: Ability to work overtime with little notice, weekend hours may occasionally be required Preferred Qualifications: : HVAC trade school certification : Prior HVAC installation experience: EPA Certification Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: :Willingness to learn and be a part of a team:Positive attitude and a team player: Ability to build positive relationships with customers, both internal and external: Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization. : Safety mindset and acceptance of a safety culture Working Conditions: : Majority of work will take place at either occupied residential homes or construction sites. Minimal time spent in an office environment.: Travel by vehicle to and from work locations: Regularly exposed to construction environments involving equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials and odors: Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE Physical Requirements: : Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift: Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently : Frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching: Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding (using the appropriate fall protection requirements) : Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction:grade work boots: Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting: Ability to
