Shipping Specialist / Parts Puller

DescriptionThe Shipping Clerk will prepares items for shipments, domestically and internationally, build crates for large unplanned shipments, load and unload shipments with forklift, pull parts for production. Daily paperwork and record-keeping on all outbound shipments will also be required. Must be willing to learn ERP system.Key Responsibilities* Knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, rates & methods. Knowledge of World Ship (UPS) Fedex, DHL. Intermediate PC Skills; Outlook, Word and Excel.* Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information oncartons, using stenciling equipment.* Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Insertsitems into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.* Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.* Completes Bill of Lading & Shipper Letter of Intent for shipments* Ability to be proactive and troubleshoot issues which do arise.* Operate fork-lift truck or use hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments fromShipping-and-receiving to freight trucks. Will have to go through company training program.* Ambitious, self motivated, dependable, responsible and a team player.Key Requirements* Must be able to operate fork-lift truck or use hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments fromShipping-and-receiving to freight trucks.
