Human Resources Manager Essential Functions*: * Conducts meetings with respective business units. * Consults with management, providing human resources guidance when appropriate. * Facilitates long-term culture and talent initiatives aligned to business objectives. * Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and retention. * Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning. * Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions. * Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. * Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs.Human Resources Manager Position Requirements*: * Bachelor's or Master's Degree** in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Business Management, Organizational Development, or related discipline. * Labor Relations Experience preferred. * Minimum of 5 years recent progressive Human Resources Generalist experience; Industrial and manufacturing environments, process or chemical plant environments is preferred. * Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. * Proficiency managing and delivering exceptional guidance on multiple human resources discipline areas. * Must be able to acquire Department of Defense secret clearance. * Effectively lead and manage projects and initiative. * Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage high-volume workload and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PeopleSoft, Saba, Kronos, Taleo, and SAP experience preferred. * Must possess excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written), leadership, organizational, presentation, problem-solving, project management, decision-making skills. * This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required. * This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. * This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.What's in it for you? * Paid parental leave (up to 160 hours) and additional leave programs * Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance effective Day 1 * Fertility Benefits (lifetime maximum $25,000) * 401(k) with an employer match and retirement contribution account * Paid Time Off * Volunteer Paid Time Off Program * Short term incentiveprogram participation * Diverse Employee Networks * Alternate work schedules (location/role specific) * Employee Ammunition Purchase ProgramWhy Winchester?Winchester is one of three proud business units of Olin Corporation.
