Learn More About Our Company Job PurposeThe Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accurate, timely, and efficient operations in both shipping and receiving departments. As a supervisor, your leadership and ability to properly motivate and manage a team of coordinators, while positively impacting our customer expectations and revenue growth within the Specialty Line of Business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide continued training towards professional development and growth with each team member who supports the SnR department. :Ensures 100 compliance with all quality control measures, shipping and receiving requirements, and Payroll accountability which includes vacations and standard earned hours. :Facilitates a streamlined workspace by keeping products and materials separated, organized, and properly located in designated warehouse spaces. :Maintains required training and credentials to safely and effectively operate various pieces of material handling equipment including a Forklift, Banding Equipment, Pnuematic Manipulator, Pallet Jack and others:Serves as the communication bridge between Operations, Customer Service and Sales personnel. :Utilizes a 5S and Lean approach to continuously improve day to day operational duties while identifying opportunities to improve processes:Keeps a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe work area that is free from debris and other hazards:This position will work primarily in a Warehouse environment with the constant use of material handling equipment:Physical demands include repetitive movements such as entering and exiting a forklift, using material handling equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted:This position requires you to operate material handling equipment which includes a forklift; all applicants must be in possession of an operators certificate or have the ability to obtain a forklift operators certificate within 30 days of hire. EnerSys will provide the necessary testing and assessment's required for an operators certificate. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications :High School diploma/GED from an accredited institution and at least 1:year experience in a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or distribution center:Ability to use computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Third Party shipping platforms. :Ability to read and interpret documents in English:Ability to complete basic mathematical functions including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and basic document control General Job Requirementsstylemargin:top:0.0;margin:bottom:0.0::This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.:This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
