The candidate will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, responding to office actions, conducting prior art searches, and providing legal support in fields such as immunotherapy, gene therapy, and cell therapy. Duties:Draft patent applications and responses to office actions in the fields of immunology and virologyConduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapesAssist in the preparation of legal opinions related to patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validityCollaborate with attorneys and clients to develop patent strategiesStay updated on developments in immunology, virology, and patent lawManage patent portfolios and provide strategic advice to clientsCommunicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and patent examinersPrepare technical documents and presentations for patent prosecution Requirements:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in immunology and molecular biology therapeutic spaceAdmission to practice before the USPTOStrong academic credentials Education:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology Certifications:Admission to practice before the USPTO Skills:Strong understanding of immunology, virology, and molecular biologyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to conduct thorough prior art searchesAttention to detail and accuracy in drafting patent applications and responsesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in patent prosecution software and databases A regional powerhouse firm with strong political history, this firm is regarded as the 15th Best Law Firm in the Mid-Atlantic.
